Herman John (Harmen Jan) te Selle – testament

Harmen Jan te Selle overleed 22 juni 1919. In zijn testament bepaalde Harmen Jan te Selle dat zijn land en andere bezittingen via verschillende interessante combinaties van land en geld onder al zijn twaalf levende kinderen moesten worden verdeeld.

Benjamin F. TeSelle 1889-1959

Benjamin F. TeSelle was born in Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska on 23 November 1889, the son of Harmen Jan te Selle and Johanna Arnolda Brethouwer. According to his daughter, Norma TeSelle Prophet, Benjamin did not actually have a middle name. He adopted the initial “F” to differentiate himself from his first cousin, Benjamin H. TeSelle.

TeSelle, Albert Herman (1880-1932)

Albert was born in Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska on 2 July 1881, the son of Harmen Jan te Selle and Johanna Arnolda Brethouwer. Albert, wife Lizzie Obbink, and three children moved to Washington in the early 1900’s. Albert did a variety of odd jobs, including cook on fishing boats. He died in Bellingham, Washington in 1932, as the result of an automobile accident.

TeSelle, Herman John (1888-1963)

Herman John TeSelle was born near Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska on 2 August 1888, the son of Harmen Jan te Selle and Johanna Arnolda Brethouwer. Herman and his wife Jennie Vandewege remained on the family farm after his mother and dad decided to relocate from the farm to the town of Firth to retire.

TeSelle, Gerrit Henry (1894-1953)

Gerrit H. TeSelle was the youngest son of Harmen Jan te Selle (1844-1919). Gerrit served in WWI and then came back home to Firth, Nebraska. He married Pearl Spellman and they had two children.

TeSelle, Evert John (1878-1962)

Evert John TeSelle was born in Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska on 2 September 1878. Evert was the son of Harmen Jan te Selle and Johanna Arnolda Brethouwer. Evert married Wilhelmina (Minnie) Obbink in 1902. He died in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska on 30 January 1962.

Berendina A. Reusink was born on January 29, 1841, in Lintelo, Aalten Municipality, Gelderland, Netherlands. She married Manus Schreurs (1824-1865). Brethouwer, Johanna Arnolda (1859-1927)

Harmen Jan te Selle had four young children and no wife, who had recently died in childbirth. Johanna Arnolda Brethouwer was willing and available. Harman Jan and Johanna Arnolda were married in May 1876.

Johanna Marie (Annie) TeSelle werd geboren in Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska op 15 september 1896 en overleed op 9 november 1972. Zij was de jongste dochter van Harmen Jan te Selle en Johanna Arnolda Brethouwer. Op 10 april 1919 trouwde Annie met William Ernest Fischer, die werd geboren op 1 juli 1898 en overleed op 13 maart 1964.
