Hendrik “Henry” TeSelle was born in Holland, Lancaster County, Nebraska on 11 February 1875. He was the son of Jan Hendrik te Selle (1838-1921) and Hanna Berendina Onnink (1841-1929). Hendrik married Martha Wismer on 5 June 1899. Henry and Martha had 7 children together:

- Melvin Earl TeSelle (1911-1984) [Spouse: Mary Louise TeSelle (1918-2005)]
Martha Wismer TeSelle died on 21 December 1955. She is buried in the Holland Cemetery, Holland, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Hendrik died in Holland, Lancaster County, Nebraska on 12 November 1960, and he is buried with Martha in the Holland Cemetery.
