The written history of the TeSelle Family Tree traces its roots back to 1958, when a young lady named Norma TeSelle Prophet, began to research the history of the TeSelle family origins in the United States.

Norma TeSelle Prophet, was born in Nebraska in 1923. While living in Nebraska she noticed that “Te Selle” was a very common name, and she was surrounded by Te Selle relatives. However, when she moved away and lived in other parts of the United States, she never encountered or heard the name “Te Selle” anywhere else. About 1958, when she moved back to Nebraska, Norma decided to research her Te Selle ancestry to find out where her ancestors came from. This book, “The Te Selle History,” which was published in 1980, is the story of that research and the discovery of the sprawling family tree that encapsulates her family’s history.
